All in all, Vodafone Idea (Vi) has been struggling financially for a long time.

This telecom operator needs more revenue and one definite way and the right way to get it from customers - is to offer more offers on popular and important prepaid plans.

As part of that, Vodafone Idea has slashed the prices of its 6 most popular and important prepaid plans.

The news of a discount on prepaid recharges has been created amidst news of discounts on smartphones and smart TVs, highlighting the deplorable state of Vodafone Idea.

On which projects have discounts been announced?

Vodafone Idea now offers six of its flagship plans at discounted prices. These plans - Rs 449, Rs 699, Rs 399, Rs 801, Rs 401, Rs 1,197.

All these plans are available for recharge at a discounted price of Rs. That means the Rs 449 plan is now at Rs 409, the Rs 699 plan is at Rs 659, the Rs 399 plan is now at Rs 359, the Rs 801 plan is now at Rs 761 and the Rs 401 plan is now at Rs 361. The Rs 1,197 plan is now available for recharge for Rs 1,157.

A report released by Telecom Talk states that the offer may not be available to everyone.

The report also said that Vi could offer this limited offer only to ARPU customers or a Rs 40 discount voucher based on users' past recharge transaction.

It is noteworthy here that the benefits of these schemes do not change even when prices are reduced. The over-the-top (OTT) benefit obtained when purchasing the plan at the original price is also available when recharging at the offer price.

Also, the Binge All Night and Weekend Data Rollover offer is still available with plans of Rs 449 (now Rs 409) and Rs 699 (now Rs 659).

Somehow V Company has found a good plan that will lead to more recharges. Is this work? It remains to be seen.
