One of the most anticipated feature from WhatsApp is the one-way introduction. That is the Chat History migration feature. That means the feature to easily transfer chat history between iOS and Android achievements without any hassle.
Either way WhatsApp has released a feature that will allow users to transfer chat history between their Android and iOS smartphones - the most requested.
This feature has long been awaited by many users and now it makes it easy to move accounts between Android and iOS phones.
Notably, WhatsApp just announced this new feature at the recent Samsung Galaxy Unbeat 2021 event.
Previously migrating chat history was a very cumbersome and complicated process involving third party apps. But WhatsApp now offers a solution to make it simpler.
For now, this WhatsApp Chat Migration feature will be compatible with Samsung smartphones and iPhones. However, we can expect some iOS and Android devices to join this list soon.
Why is this feature not coming here?
This is because a user's chat history is encrypted end-to-end on his or her own smartphone, so there were many technical issues with migrating it with voice notes.
But WhatsApp seems to be working with the world's largest smartphone maker (Samsung) to overcome these issues - the barrier.
WhatsApp says, "If you decide to change your mobile operating system, WhatsApp will introduce the ability to move your entire WhatsApp chat history in a seamless and secure manner, including voice notes, photos and conversions."
He added, "This feature will allow people to switch between the sites they want and take their WhatsApp history with them very easily. This feature is available to users of Android and iOS systems - that is, people can switch from Android to iOS device and from iOS to Android."
